From Closet to Franchise: Unveiling the Success Story of Season2Consign with Sony FX3 and Top-Tier Gear

Capturing Success with the Sony FX3

As a filmmaker, I take pride in using top-of-the-line equipment to bring stories to life. For Season2Consign’s video, I opted for the exceptional Sony FX3, a camera trusted by Netflix for its stunning visuals. To achieve a natural and inviting atmosphere, the main light setup included a 300w video light softened by a lantern softbox.

Adding dynamism to the shots, a motorized slider provided smooth camera movement, while the ambiance and warmth were further enhanced with double 4ft RGB Nanlite Pavotube II 30Cs. Crystal clear audio was ensured by Saramonic Blink 500 wireless microphones feeding directly into the camera’s pro audio mixer. Additionally, a Rode NTG-2 shotgun mic was used for backup and to capture ambient sounds, all recorded on a Tascam DR-40x audio recorder. Finally, the editing magic was brought to life in DaVinci Resolve, my current software of choice after two decades of using Final Cut Pro.
